This course is a comprehensive presentation of the manifestations of both osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis and it’s impact on hand therapy. Participants will review anatomy of the hand and wrist as it relates to arthritis. Additionally, participants will learn about disease process, medication management, and documenting properly for Medicare when treating arthritis patients.  Conservative and surgical management techniques will be presented for each joint including appropriate hand therapy interventions. This course includes a splinting demonstration to treat CMC arthritis.
